Roxane-le-Cat<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There have always been cats in my life, at home or in my entourage. And if I liked them all, there are some who have had a bigger place in my heart.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those of you who have followed Magenta since its creation in the early ’90s already know our “star”, Roxane-le-Cat. It is up to her that I devote this first chapter about cats.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roxane adopted Magenta while searching for a safe and comfortable home. She chose the little boutique we had at that time, probably because of its name. In French it means \u201cThe Blue Cat Studio\u201d and certainly with such a name, we loved cats.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

She instantly became an important member of our team and helped us create Magenta Rubber Stamps. She always enjoyed being a part of our business.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was very interested in classes and would jump onto the table to help the students personally.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Magenta began wholesaling to storefronts, she offered to check the \u201ccomfort\u201d of the rubber stamps to be shipped. Everyday she tested the stamps by napping in all the boxes waiting to be shipped. We would tell our customers that cat hair on the stamps was proof of quality control\u2026With Roxane\u2019s approval.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roxane truly became famous by acting in all Magenta\u2019s videos! She had so much fun when we were shooting the videos, as she was always willing to act in the way we needed her to. (Well, we always had a jar of green olives nearby\u2026 her favorite treat!)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roxane spent ten years at Magenta. She was the most amazing cat, understanding everything \u2013 in English and in French. When Magenta moved to a new location Roxane found it to be too large and industrial for her tastes and because of her age she decided to retire to my house. She was familiar with my home as this is where one of her videos was filmed. After filming \u201cThe Art of Living Magenta Style\u201d Roxane decided she wanted a garden to sit in and a comfortable bed, TV, and loving parents to care for her.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

She spent eight years with my husband and I. We had the best time together. She made us happy. I know I will never forget this unique cat and I am blessed that I could live with her for such a long time even though I feel she has left us too quickly.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roxane had a long life filled with love from everyone at Magenta and all of Magenta\u2019s visitors. She received many letters and gifts over the years and appreciated all of them. She was an adult when Magenta adopted her, so we really do not know her precise age, but we know that she was at least 21 years old\u2026. possibly more when she passed away in June 2010.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roxane will stay in our memory forever as the most beautiful and wonderful cat we have ever met.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il y a toujours eu des chats dans ma vie, chez moi ou dans mon entourage. Et si je les ai tous aim\u00e9s, il y en a certains qui ont eu une plus grande place dans mon c\u0153ur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ceux d\u2019entre vous qui ont suivi Magenta depuis sa cr\u00e9ation au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es \u201990 connaissent d\u00e9j\u00e0 sa \u00ab star \u00bb, Roxane-le-Cat. C\u2019est \u00e0 elle que je consacre ce premier chapitre sur les chats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roxane est arriv\u00e9e \u00e0 Magenta alors qu\u2019elle recherchait un lieu s\u00fbr et confortable pour s\u2019\u00e9tablir. Elle a choisi notre petite boutique de l\u2019\u00e9poque qui s\u2019appelait \u201cLes ateliers du Chat Bleu\u201d, certaine qu\u2019avec un pareil nom, on ne pouvait qu\u2019y aimer les chats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elle est imm\u00e9diatement devenue un membre important de l\u2019\u00e9quipe et a grandement aid\u00e9 \u00e0 cr\u00e9er la compagnie Magenta. En particulier, elle adorait assister aux cours d\u2019\u00e9tampes et sauter sur la table pour aider personnellement les \u00e9l\u00e8ves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quand Magenta a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 vendre ses produits aux boutiques, elle s\u2019est tout-de-suite propos\u00e9e pour s\u2019assurer du \u201cconfort\u201d des \u00e9tampes \u00e0 exp\u00e9dier. Pour ce faire, quotidiennement, elle s\u2019installait pour une sieste dans chaque bo\u00eete pr\u00eate \u00e0 fermer. Il nous arrivait d\u2019avertir les clients que s\u2019ils trouvaient quelques poils de chat dans leur commande, c\u2019\u00e9tait une garantie de qualit\u00e9 du produit\u2026 approuv\u00e9 par Roxane elle-m\u00eame!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mais c\u2019est gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa pr\u00e9sence dans les vid\u00e9os de Magenta que Roxane \u2013 nomm\u00e9e pour la circonstance \u201cRoxane-le-Cat\u201d \u2013 est r\u00e9ellement devenue c\u00e9l\u00e8bre. Elle adorait les tournages et y agissait toujours exactement comme nous le lui demandions (bon, j\u2019admets qu\u2019il y avait toujours un pot d\u2019olives vertes \u00e0 proximit\u00e9, sa g\u00e2terie favorite\u2026).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roxane a pass\u00e9 environ 10 ans \u00e0 travailler \u00e0 Magenta. Elle \u00e9tait la plus incroyable chatte qu\u2019on puisse imaginer, comprenant d\u2019ailleurs aussi bien l\u2019anglais que le fran\u00e7ais. Cependant, lorsque Magenta a d\u00e9m\u00e9nag\u00e9, Roxane a rapidement trouv\u00e9 le b\u00e2timent trop grand et industriel pour elle. Aussi, \u00e9tant donn\u00e9 son \u00e2ge, elle a clairement fait entendre qu\u2019elle souhaitait prendre sa retraite. Comme elle connaissait ma maison, gr\u00e2ce au tournage de certains vid\u00e9os, dont \u201cThe Art of Living Magenta Style\u201d auquel elle avait particip\u00e9, elle me fit part de son d\u00e9sir d\u2019y vivre d\u00e9sormais. Imaginez, un vrai lit, une t\u00e9l\u00e9 et un jardin, ainsi que des parents pour prendre soin d\u2019elle\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elle a donc v\u00e9cu huit ans avec mon mari et moi. Nous aurons eu des moments merveilleux tous les trois car sa pr\u00e9sence ne nous a apport\u00e9 que de la joie. Je n\u2019oublierai jamais cette chatte unique et je suis reconnaissante \u00e0 la vie de nous l\u2019avoir laiss\u00e9e autant d\u2019ann\u00e9es, bien que son d\u00e9part soit survenu encore trop t\u00f4t pour nous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roxane aura eu une longue vie pour un chat, une vie remplie de l\u2019amour de tous, autant \u00e0 Magenta que gr\u00e2ce aux visiteurs et admirateurs qui l\u2019ont suivie \u00e0 travers les ann\u00e9es. Elle aura re\u00e7u de nombreuses lettres et cadeaux, les appr\u00e9ciant tous. Comme elle \u00e9tait adulte au moment o\u00f9 elle s\u2019est install\u00e9e avec nous, son \u00e2ge pr\u00e9cis nous est inconnu. Cependant, nous savons qu\u2019elle avait au moins 21 ans\u2026 et sans doute plus lors de son d\u00e9c\u00e8s en juin 2010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roxane restera \u00e0 jamais dans nos m\u00e9moires comme \u00e9tant la plus belle et exceptionnelle chatte que l\u2019on puisse rencontrer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
